Aside from the little owl which I made for Sonya, who gave me some nice presents including a little owl and a strangely appropriate magic mushroom ornament, which I think are rad, all the rest of the pieces are in progress. The owl was fun for me because I very rarely get to do a tattoo that is finished in one session, and when I do I always enjoy it.

I also gotta get a little sentimental right and add that I seem to be real lucky with my customers right now, they all seem to be wanting good tattoos and on top of that are really sweet people. I feel kinda blessed and at the same time a little sorry for my co-workers who have to put up with the ball breaking kind of clients who frankly I have little patience for.
So thanks and love to all the nice people and suck my balls to all you jerks.

Wash

Some newish black and grey stuff.

Glen fininshed

This is Glens forearm finished, I'm happy with it I used some different colours to what I would normally use and it seems to have worked. Usually when I try and get creative with colouring it turns out a bit off.

Rudin and Booger Joey

Here's a pic of my girlfriend doing a small tattoo on my wrist that she designed, it of a fish with a trident and a cats head. She named it 'Charger, the death collector' also she said her tattoo name is 'Booger Joey??????

Also a pic of Rudins ribs. Rudin has a lot of nice tattoos by very good tattooers, I like Rudin a lot, he gave me a couple of sweet t-shirts that he made, he has recently started tattooing and his tattoos are already looking good and he has a loud voice. I'm hoping to finish his ribs in the next two sessions.

Yesterdays stuff

So here's some progress shots. I'm kinda in two minds about in progress photos. I feel that when you show them it kinda spoils the impact of the finished tattoo when it's finally done. However it is interesting to observe a piece from start to finish. That being said, I weighed it all up and figured that there's only about three people reading this(myself included), so I've put them up to satisfy myself really.

So there's another session of Dannys back done we got a lot of the green water in on both sides of his back, also here's post session three of Tims demon and funnily enough another guy called Tim that I'm doing a dragon on, these photos are after his second session. We will end up doing the dragon in gold I believe. Some of the blossoms on the dragon piece look kinda wonky, I'm not sure how that happened? Perhaps when I put the stencil on and didn't notice it right away, weird, I don't know how I missed that?? anyway aside from that I'm pretty happy with how this piece is looking. Did all the shading so far with a 15 mag and that was heaps of fun, just started using big mags after a long hiatus and I forgot how fun and quick they are. Why did i stop using them??

Anyway, I'm off to training, then dinner with my buddy Cuong.

Mr. Unreal

This is me and Mr. Unreal hanging out at the front desk. Mr. Unreal will make a tattoo for you but he only does band names, and it's gotta be a band that he likes. I will post a link to his folio once he puts one up.

Jake Fraser

I made this hannya with blossoms for my brothers old apprentice, Jake, both he and I learnt under my brother, Dick, and we are both called Jake. I find that odd. Jake is currently traveling and working, I believe, in New York. Jake's a top guy and I had lots of fun doing this piece. I didn't want to mess around too much with this tattoo and kept it as simple as possible.

Jake played tennis for years and has what he referred to as 'drop shoulder'. I don't know if you can see by the photo but his right nipple is almost an inch lower than his left which made lining the tattoo up a nightmare.

I often wonder why front torso tattoos have so much more impact than back tattoos when they are very similar in shape and size??? I don't know what it is but I really like them.
